Welcome to our Obedience Program.
Designed with Dogs 18 weeks and older in mind. Our Program offers the flexibility for you to join and attend whenever suits you best! From learning the basics to exploring playful tricks like object finding. We’re here to make it an enjoyable experience for both and your furry friend.

Please note if your dog is reactive to other dogs or people please give Tanya a call before booking in, another program may be suited for you.
Our Obedience Classes are held:
- Monday: 5:30 pm – Zoomies and Groomies Mittagong
- Tuesday: 6:00 pm – Woodlands Road Public School St Helens Park
- Saturday: 8:30 am and 9:45 am- Woodlands Road Public School St Helens Park
If your dog is reactive please contact us first, we do run a reactive dog program which then when they are confident/ calm around other dogs feeds back into our obedience program.
Yes all of our training is done by Tanya, a qualified Dog Trainer with 3 different Qualification just in Dog Training.
Yes, we accept all levels of training, from Beginners to experts. There is always something new to learn.
Exercises to be completed:
- Loose Lead Walking 100 meters with turns and Sits
- Sit with Duration
- Down with Durartion
- Recall from 5 paces
- Handling of Ear, Eye and Paw
- Chin Rest
IMDT Partnership Grade 2
Exercises to be completed:
- Loose Lead Walking 200 meters with turns, pace changes and a Sit
- Sit with Duration and Distraction
- Down with Duration and Distraction
- Recall from 20 paces to a Front Sit position
- Clear Jump (Height to suit Dog)
- Trick x 3
IMDT Partnership Grade 3
Exercises to be completed:
- Loose Lead Walking 300 meters with turns, pace changes, a Sit, Wait and Recall
- Search with Retrieve
- Emergency Stop
- Greeting People off lead with no Jumping Up
- Clear Jump off lead with Wait (Height to suit Dog)
- Trick x 3 with Distance
IMDT Partnership Grade 4
Exercises to be completed:
- Loose Lead Walking 400 meters off lead with turns, a Sit, a Down and a side
- Search with Indication
- Down with Duration, Distance and Distraction
- Greeting a Person and a friendly Dog off lead with no jumping at Person or contact with Dog
- Boomerangs
- Sendaway
IMDT Partnership Grade 5
Exercises to be completed:
- Loose Lead Walking 250 meters off lead and fast paced with turns, a Sit, a Down and a side swap
- Search and Retrieve to Handler 4 separate items, each retrieved individually
- Canine Knowledge Quiz
- Sit with Distance, Duration and Distraction
- Boomerangs with Distance
- Sendaway with a Sit or Down and redirection
IMDT Partnership Grade 6
Exercises to be completed:
- Loose Lead Walking 300 meters off lead, with pace changes, turns, a Sit, a Down and two side swaps
- Sequence of 5 Behaviours cued at distance
- Directions at distance with a Sit or Down and Wait with Distractions
- Retrieve x 3 to Middle, Retrieve to Front and Retrieve to Heel
- Clear Jump with a Sit or Down and Wait with Distractions (Height to suit Dog)
